  My JW Neighbours - Now it's JWs -v- NAC!

  latest in the saga with my jw neighbours.

  i've previously mentioned my other neighbours (german couple in late 60s) who live next door to the jw family.

  the german couple are here on the island about 6 months a year, often look after the jw kids and have substantial concerns about them.. last friday evening (late here, about 10 pm) the german lady and her older sister and i went to a sports bar to watch the germany-argentina match.

  My friend, when you went to that Memorial you sealed your fate. Clothing and habits of non believers are not important to them. You could have tried to enter in a gorilla outfit sucking on a cigar and they would still be after you. They see you as mallable

  They will watch you 'for your own spiritual well being' . NO matter what you tell them at this point about not ever going back it will do no good. You are service hours to them.

  You really are a nice guy Joe so just ignore them.

  i know this is either going to be one of those topics where people consider it a popularity contest or something....i'm just being an imp and seeing if anyone will be forward enough to tell about the person that they would like to date.. me, i'm married so that leaves me out!

  i want cake

  or cookies.. or pie.. or somethin... i was grocery shopping sunday.. went past the cake mix / pudding/ baking needs aisle and thought hmmmmmm if i buy it i'll eat it..so i took the moral high ground and didnt buy anything..... now 2 days later... i want my cake!!!.

  (i know i'm old..but those confetti cake mixes that are supposed to be for kids?..

  I am so glad that I am not alone. This evening suddenly I was going nuts for sweets. Been off from them for a while now. Well, I made a great big mega sundae and ate every bit of it!!! Then after the mega sugar high it plummeted straight down... now I remember why I was trying to give up sweets.

  Went to the herb garden and picked fresh oregano and basil and am getting them ready to freeze. Transplanted blueberries. Fed chicks/turkeys and just continued to set up my studio in the additon . Boring for most people but relaxing to me.

  nothing in side.. i will give you all the short storyl i was married to an elder - had 3 beautiful chilren -- after 17 years of mariiage -- i couldn't take it all any more.

  i bailed when my youngest was 11, 13 and 16.. it was my intention to be no religion at all.

  i abhor organized religion.

  My thoughts are a bit different than some on this. Although it was your son that had the talk with you I do not think that it was histhoughts or words. J.W words via the little woman.

  The fact that he invited you to his home shows that he is willing to push some of the beliefs aside to encourage the love of him mom to be shown. Perhaps he is starting to see what the religion really is but has to endure because of the daughter and new one on the way.

  He is truely stuck. Keep the lines of communications open. Please do not ask him to choose ever . I think time is on your side here.

  this one really freaked me out.

  i was so brainwashed at the time i found a way to justify it.

  i think i?ve been repressing my anger about this and now i need to vent.

  Rocketman, this is not the exception.

  Sad to say it is the rule and has happened other times as well.

  Years ago I went to a convention in Montreal and it was blistering out...the place it was held had a huge cover that could be pulled up if need be but that week end something was wrong with it and it did not work.. thus NO A/C and searing sun beating on us for 4 days. Two or three elderly died during that time. I had to stay as I was riding with someone else, some uber dubs. I am certain that these elderly people had to ride with others also.

  There were many cases of heat exhaustion- all ages- heart attacks and those idiots announced it from the platform!!! Of course they followed each announcement with brothers and sisters you will be blessed by staying for each course of Jahs spiritual food. Babies and little people were red and wilting. God, I was so mad I wanted to scream!!! One sister had twins in an elevator as well. Why she came there instead of the hospital I will never, ever know. Devout ms. hubby? Perhaps super elder hubby?

  Why the city did not step in I will never ever know.

  i guess it is best to read my profile, but the upshot of this new found technology is that i am no longer alone in my isolation.

  i was just wondering if you had met someone online and had a significant long term relationship with him... would you be brave enough to meet him?

  obviously not alone at first but how would you check someone out before you met them other than a google search of his name.

  even some place like jwd where there is a significant level of trust .
